Underseer

A former Beholder Overseer, he experienced a spiritual awakening and relocated to the forest moon of Zifnab to live among the tribal halflings who dwell there. He has put out all but one eye. The local halflings believe him to be a form of tree, and heed him like a wise spirit. He believes himself to be one with nature and has even mastered some druidic spells.

In Thingerly, the party might hear about the less civilized halflings that dwell in the forests. Their is a local legend that one of these tribes defended Thingerly from marauding beholders. They somehow expected the danger and reacted swiftly to defeat it. A local ranger will state that the tribe has a deep understanding of beholders unseen anywhere else on the planet. Should the party have a conflict with the Ocularum, they should track down the Underseer's tribe.
