Eternity

What is "Eternity"? The easiest answer would be "everything". But that doesn't really give that much context. For what could be that "everything"? I'm sure some would see it as this whole planet, others as the whole material and immaterial universe. But trust me, while many might have these grand ideas, there sure will be some that don't give that much care and thought to it and would call their village and nearby fields their "everything". And that's understandable, we are just small people on this great planet within this great universe. Why bother with the larger picture, if it is so grand it goes beyond our understanding? It's good to know one's limitations. How do we give context to this "everything" then, so that all can understand? For those who believe in the dualistic theology of the world, perhaps this will make more sense - it is the combination of the Eternal Tree and the Eternal Void, alongside all their respective gods who exist under them. But for those who do not believe, I can put it like this. Eternity is all of creation but its lack as well. It is the space in which this creation took or did not take shape. It is the time when it did or did not happen. It is what is, the place where this "is" exists and the time it does so. But it also is what this is isn't, the place it does not exist in and the time it never happened in. That is the nature of Eternity. Patriarch Alexy VII to Paradox
Eternity is the only divine being, the only "true god", of the Eternalist beliefs. It is considered to transcend all creation and rule over even that which never happened, holding the keys to all other alternative realities that could have existed if some other decision was made.

Depiction

I am yet to see an independent depiction of Eternity, as in where the statue, painting or whatever the medium, will only depict it. I honestly don't think it has a given artistic form. But in a way, I understand why. It's supposed to be what is and isn't, both at the same time. So what better way to portray that than to not show it at all and leave the believer to find his own meaning for both creation and lack of it. Frederick von Ostbach, General of the Kaiserarmee
Eternity is only portrayed with its sigil, that signifies it - the eternal cross. Besides this, there is no definite depiction of him, nor is there a need to have one, as it is supposed to be everything and nothing. Because of this, everyone can find his or her personal idea of it.

Divine Domains

What is and isn't; where it is and not; when it is and isn't, was and wasn't or will be and won't be.

Why do I believe in Eternity and not the Tree and the Void, despite there's more proof that they actually do exist? Well, I do not enjoy separating things, that's for starters. You see, the Tree represents creation, while the Void - the time and space where that creation is. That never made much sense to me, why to separate one from another. Imagine it like this. When you paint a painting you do start off with two separate elements - the canvas and the brush with paint. But it's only when you apply one to the other, is when actual creation takes place. The brush or paint alone in itself is not creation, just as the canvas alone is not the space and moment where this creation takes place. Only together do they come together to form it, through their inseparable union. Alexis Aksynov, oldest daughter of Tsar Sergei III
