Eyes of Madness

Effect

There is no purposeful intend behind the eyes of madness. It is as much a natural phenomenon as anything.

Side/Secondary Effects

There can be a range of dramatic effects depending on how close one got to a beam:

1. Anything at the center will be completely destroyed by its impacting force
2. At intermediary distances, gravitational disturbances will tear apart nearby structures and alter biotic systems
3. A madness is inflicted on persons at the very periphery, who then experience brief moments of anxiety, obsessions or shades of depression that make them incoherent or mentally absent

Manifestation

The madness is a psionic blast, so dense, that it is even visible in the colour spectrum as purple beams of light with radiating halos.

The eyes refer to any of Hothtaaz's 1,000,000,000,000 eyes. When one opens, beams immediately shoot out and normally disappear into the void of the Threshold.
Because it is believed that the creature's mass crosses through multiple planes, the visual beams may act similarly to reality waves in the form of a column.

I know it sounds bad. But really, they are so spread out that you need to actively try to get in its path.
For extra safety, simply pilot between those bulging lumps so you're not surprised by a blinking eye.
