Time Trailer

Power Generation

Turbocharged Engine

The engine is located within the 220 square foot living space allowing for maintenance without exposure to the elements. However this design choice also demanded a smaller engine to keep everyone warm, as the larger one made alot of noise that disrupted sleep.
In the driver's cabin, different levers allow for independent control over the speed and direction of each screw. In order to accelerate, both are pushed forward simultaneously to begin rotating in opposite directions. Turning is achieved by adjusting the amount of power delivered to screws. The vehicle can also travel sideways by applying reverse power to either side.

Propulsion

Screw-Propelled

The trailers use four large flange drive screws fitted to its roof and floor, resembling a demented sandwich. They are hollow cylindrical tubes with helical flanges spiraling around the chassis to propel itself through any environment.
As the bladed barrels rotate independently of each other, they appear to crawl along the manifesting ice crystals. This ice is a result of the freezing temperatures that spillout whenever a time rift opens around the trailer.

Armor and defense

Complex Magnetic Fields

Incor circulates within both loops of the screws. When they rotate, the resultant flux interacts with the engine and external matter to form a robust magnetic bubble that protects everything inside. Before, during and after a jump through time, the bubble's outline can be seen from the ice crystals precipitating around the craft's shell and collecting in an invisible bowl being churned by the screws.   In this way, the time trailers appear to be their own life-size snow globe. The main body has 4 inches of synthetic wool to isolate the inhabitants from this cold.

Sensors

There is also a dome on the ceiling so the crew could navigate by the location's stars without having to go outside.

Additional & auxiliary systems

Comforts

Passengers have access to a small kitchen a bedroom that has room for 6 to 8 people to sleep and an aircraft restroom. The vehicle also features a separate workshop and laboratory; effectively transforming it into a mobile lab.   As well as a vestibule apart from the control section for the driver and the navigator. The driver cabinet provides access to the both the main and auxiliary engines while the fuel is positioned at the centre of the vehicle beneath the floor. The centralized heating system was located at the back of the vehicle sending heat to various sections. Notably, it is equipped with an electric snow melting device to heat windows in order to give a clear view and an electric stove in the kitchen to conveniently heat canned food.

Hangars & docked vessels

The time trailer fulfills an extremely niche industry.   They are relatively slow and sometimes; even sluggish on land. In spite of their unique mode of transport, their true purpose lies as a surveillance platform and providing luxury accommodation during excursions.
