Pokemon Design Guide
We are a very relaxed, casual group! We want you to enjoy your characters with as few restrictions as possible, while keeping the game fair for everyone. Adjusting the designs are completely optional though, and if you would rather your pokémon look exactly (or close) like the pokédex entries or any official artwork, you're free to do so. HOWEVER. Copying another user's design is art theft and is STRICTLY forbidden. If you need help with your design, contact a mod and we'll be happy to assist. If this guide doesn't answer all of your questions, or you want to double check your design, please feel free to ask a mod or join the discussion on Discord!
There are NO color/pattern restrictions!
Peizurian pokemon exhibit unbelievable variety in their shapes, traits and colors. "Shinies" as other regions know them, don't really exist here, as no specific colors or patterns are more rare than another. The universal pokédex entries are simply based on the most common, generalized set of colors, traits and markings.
Traits and Body Types
- Minor changes to a pokemon's body shape are welcome! All we ask is you keep changes consistent to the pokémon's existing features and types. For example, you can't add vines/plants growing on a flying type, or fur to a rock/scaly pokémon.
- You cannot change/add types to a pokémon
- You cannot add additional limbs (wings, legs, heads or tails) to pokemon
- Changing the shape and placement of existing features such as fins are fine!
- Adding growths to mimic the shape of other features- ie "wing shaped" leaf growths on a grass pokemon is fine, as long as they aren't functional
- SOME restrictions can be bypassed with approval, if it suits the pokemon and/or its backstory- ie a genetic mutation or injury. See a mod for approval.
Peizuri Trait Guide
As a general rule of thumb, if it suits the design and doesn't add special limbs or abilities, it's probably fine!
Hybrids
Hybrids don't exist naturally in the wild- conception is too difficult to occur naturally. However, with assistance from professional breeders, hybrid breeding is completely possible! (For more information on how to breed, please check the Breeding journal.) Bred hybrid offspring can exhibit any amount of traits from either parent. It may take closely after one parent or be an even mix of both. Hybrids can also gain the types from both parents (up to four), and it can exhibit entirely new traits based on its gained types.
