Veilwatcher’s Solstice

The Veilwatcher's Solstice takes place during the summer solstice. Natives from all corners of Pelagia travel to Jade Veil Reach to pay homage to the Heart of Jade and witness the mystical connection between the island and the cosmos.
Veilwatcher’s Solstice is traditionally the darker of the two pilgrimages. This Solstice occurs before the beginning of the main growing season in Pelagia. Three virgin sacrifices are made at the end of the week on the day of the solstice. It is hoped that these sacrifices will appease the rain god, Chal-Chac, so that he may provide the life-giving rains needed to grow the region’s crops.
