Sir Cador is the only son and heir of Duke Gorlois of Cornwall by his first wife (. Known for being energetic, just, pious and brave he led many of the knights loyal to his father to the wilds when his father was killed by King Uther Pendragon.
Sir Cador is a cool-headed, even cold-blooded knight, but very just. His father's death at Terrabil and the subsequent submission of many of the Cornish lords disgusts him, and he is reported to lead a band of knights and soldiers for hire, a mercenary captain during a time of war.

Motivation
In the wake of Uther’s death, Cador began expanding his private army with an eye towards seizing land for himself. In 497, he took the castle at Donnington and installed himself as ruler of the local lands. He developed a close friendship with Cynrain, Count Rydychan.
An early supporter of the Boy King, Cador was rewarded by Arthur with a royal appointment as the king’s personal steward, a post he has taken up with relish. He has started a family and dotes on his young son, Constantine.
