Personal history

Ulfius is the Duke of Silchester, who inherited power from his uncle after the Night of Long Knives. With the death of Duke Gorlois of Cornwall he was the most powerful vassal of King Uther Pendragon, with access to the immense wealth of London, a large swathe of land, and a strong army of loyal knights. For years he served as Uther’s right-hand man. Though generally viewed as honorable, many of his knights, however, are mistrusted by all good men of Salisbury. Perhaps rightly so.   489 Fought the Saxon kings Octa and Eosa with Uther.   490 Fought the Saxon kings Octa and Eosa with Uther at Lindsey.   491 Attended Uther's and Ygraine's wedding at Tintagel.   492 Attended the twin weddings of Lady Margawse to King Lot of Lothian and Lady Elaine to King Nentres of Garloth. Also attended the treason trial of the Salisbury Knights.   493-494 Attempted to hold the realm together during Uther's deteriorating health.   495 Refused the offer of Dux Bellorum from Sir Hilfbert. Fought at the Battle of Saint Albans, where he lost many of his men and was grievously injured. Avoided poisoning at the Infamous Feast, but the injuries sustained meant that his survival was far from certain.
