Apollo

Children of Apollo, radiant bearers of the sun god's divine light, embody the harmonious blend of artistic brilliance and celestial grace. Drawn to grand stages and secluded groves, they find solace in the transformative power of music, poetry, and the arts. Endowed with a natural affinity for artistic expression, they possess ethereal voices that enrapture listeners and nimble fingers that breathe life into instruments. Their melodies dance through the air, stirring emotions and kindling the spirit. Born with a muse's touch, they are masterful performers and skilled bards, their every word and note leaving an indelible impression on hearts and minds. Like Apollo himself, they are purveyors of enlightenment and inspiration, harnessing their creative gifts to uplift and illuminate. With their radiant presence, they bring warmth and joy, evoking emotions that transcend the mundane and transport others to realms of sublime beauty. As children of the god of the arts, they embody the transformative power of creativity, beckoning others to embrace their own inner muse and seek the extraordinary in the world around them.  

Children of Apollo Traits

As a child of Apollo you have the following traits.   Speed Your base walking speed is 35 feet.   Ability Score Increase Your Wisdom score increases by 2 and your Dexterity score increases by 1.   Languages You can speak, read, and write your birth language and Ancient Greek.  
Favor
At first level, you gain the ability to channel your godly parent into your abilities. This ability is represented by Favor. At any level, you have a maximum Favor pool equal to your proficiency bonus. This pool replenishes when you finish a long rest or when your godly parent chooses to grant you additional Favor.  
Godly Ability
Starting at first level you gain an ability based on your godly parent. You gain new abilities at level 5, 9, and 13.
  • Archery Mastery: Apollo is known as the god of archery, and his children inherit this talent. Children of Apollo gain proficiency with longbows and shortbows and have a natural knack for ranged combat. As a bonus action, you may spend 1 Favor to gain the following benefits during this turn:
    • Advantage on ranged attack rolls
    • On a hit with a ranged attack, you infuse your shot with radiant energy. The target takes additional radiant damage equal to your proficiency bonus.

  • Melodic Harmony: Beginning at 5th level, a child of Apollo's affinity for music and poetry shines through. As an action, you may spend 3 Favor to begin playing a soothing melody. You create a zone of tranquil sound within a 30 ft radius. Any allies within the zone can choose to end one ongoing negative status effect that is not physically being actively applied by another creature (eg. grappled). Additionally, any allies within the zone are granted temporary hit points equal to your proficiency bonus.

  • Healing touch: As a child of Apollo, you possess the power of restorative magic. Starting at 9th level, as an action, you may spend 4 Favor to lay your hands on a wounded creature, channeling powerful healing energy. The target restores hit points equal to 4d8 + your spell casting modifier.

  • Solar Radiance:The full power of the sun's radiant energy lives within you. At 13th level, you learn to harness this power. As an action, you may spend 5 Favor to unleash a brilliant burst of light and radiant energy in a 30 ft radius. Enemies within the radius make a dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, they take 8d6 radiant damage, while on a successful save, they take half damage.

Skills
Gain proficiency in an instrument of your choice and two of the following: Performance, Medicine, Acrobatics, Perception  
Suggested Classes
As a child of Apollo, you can be versatile in your class choice. They make great healers due to their high wisdom and innate healing abilities which makes them good clerics. They also, are good archers which means that Rangers, Rogues, or even Fighters are good options as well.
