Murkwood is one of the larger towns present on Journey-2. Outside the town are massive Dragonstar farms which are harvested year round. The town is also a notorious supplier of moonshine. The town was built around Lake Moore, which is fed by the Sole River.

Town Center

The town center area of Murkwood includes much of the official businesses; the port, post office, and town hall, as well as the emergency services. This area of town is a bit more congested, but is well-tended with elegant hand chiseled statues and groomed bushes resting outside official buildings.

Boardwalk

Alongside the lake was built a boardwalk where local businesses, such as restaurants and recreational activities, are lined along the water. While the area is more expensive, the Journic are willing to pay as the area offers great views and family-fun.

Suburbs

The residential district of Murkwood, the "suburbs" are not the grassy yards and picket fences that are typically associated with the term. The majority of these areas are overgrown gardens and hand-built wooden houses. Many houses lack glass windows and even less have functioning climate control systems.

Fertile Farmland

Murkwood is one of a few towns built near lush farmable land, but is by far the largest exporter of Dragonstar. The genetically created fruits grow in orchids for miles down the Sole River leading into town. The unique fruit is considered a delicacy across the galaxy and while it can be grown on other planets, it is considered inferior in flavor for unknown reasons.
The town is also known for the stillers that live on the outskirts. While Perillel is still technically under prohibition, pursuit of producers and consumers of alcohol within the system is extremely rare, thanks in large part to the Perillel Republic Forces new chief of staff, Dhel McCannon. This has helped Murkwood accelerate its Dragonstar Moonshine production and the Syndicate continues to export the liquor to other systems.
