D'Waiyn Bread (duh-Hwhy-in)
When the Slatescar Clan intends to celebrate a victory of battle, a great hunt, or clan achievement- it is time to bake D'Waiyn. This bread is characterized as slightly sweet and fluffy and is baked in the same flames as the forge. It is served traditionally with Boar that has been aged and smoked with some of the fat rendered and slightly spread over the top of the bread before the dish is covered in spices.
Over time, this traditional bread became synonymous with victory. "To serve D'Waiyn," "to share D'Waiyn," or "to bake D'Waiyn" became phrases that meant "to achieve victory." As such, the name of the dish became a rare name for some within the clan for families who wished their offspring to achieve victory.
