Qotal

Leader of the Spirits

Qotal was once considered among the most powerful spirits within the hickerwick. Strong and powerful, Qotal embodied the essences of creation and freedom. The Tabaxi often say that when asked what gift they wanted from the spirit Qotal, they asked for the freedom to move as they pleased and were blessed with unmatched speed. Qotal led the spirits in title, but was rarely seen with others, perferring the solitude of the deep forest and rarely accepting visitors. While other spirits often asked for offerings and sacrifice, Qotal was kindly and giving, preferring that reverence be made through giving to others and allowing others to live without constraint.

The disappearance

Around the time the Hickerwick began to be explored by outsiders, the spirits became seen less frequently until they became nothing but rumor. Qotal was last seen centuries ago, and many living in the Hickerwick today believe he may have simply been a powerful warrior long ago, rather than a true spirit. However, among the Tabaxi scattered through the Hickerwick, there are some that pray for Qotals return in hopes that he might "unshackle the land from the grasp of those who would dishonor it."
