Agent of the Six Crows
Actually many different rôles, an agent of the Six Crows, can be anything from an assassin, a spy, a spelunker, an investigator, an interpretor, a philologist, a researcher, an arcanist... basically whatever the skill set is appropriate for the task at hand. The Six Crows are based in the Rift, most notably in the humid swamp of the Eternal Bog of Fraithree, however, their concerns are on the mundane realm of PÈRYL. Using their various skills and resources, agents of the Six Crows traverse the folds of the Rift that they might enter into the material plane and affect change that the organization deems necessary. As each faction within the Six Crows is largely an autonomous cell, reporting only to their handler, the clandestine purposes and larger goals of the organization are unknown. Moneys, gear, and briefs are provided by the handler when missions are required. In addition to being well paid, agents of the Six Crows have the distinct, unique pleasure of being able to travel to many different places, times, realms, and worlds. As the organization began among the residents of daoSvor, the majority of members of the Six Crows are dwarves and gnomes from various Svor tribal groups. However, humans, naga, minotaurs, trolls, and other beings from the Rift are members. The life expectancy of an agent of the Six Crows is not long.
Career
Qualifications
Agents of the Six Crows are recruited from disaffected peoples from various regions in the world whose skillset, knowledge base, or both would be useful. Those that sign on, are whisked away to a training centre and briefed about as much knowledge as is necessary. Those that wash out of the training are dealt with.
Payment & Reimbursement
The coin of trade in the Rift are the black Warlock coins. In arcane circles in the mundane realm, these coins are worth hundreds of local currency. They are valuable indeed. Agents of the Six Crows are paid well in addition to being housed, fed, and provided with appropriate gear.
