Arrival of the il-Orah

Through the folds and shifting patterns within the Rift, a thinny formed between the Place Before and Gruthe. Through this thinning of the barriers between worlds, did come the il-Orah.

The il-Orah, progenitors of the race that became known as the dwarves of PÈRYL, were not born on the world. Whence they came is lost to time and knowing. Of the rarified who even know of this event call it merely the Place Before—Daoc-icnor /dɑɔkɪkʰnɔr/—its location and original name are lost to time.   Having left Daoc-icnor, the il-Orah found themselves in a vast cavern system inside the island which would centuries later become known as Sarn. Their first settlement, Daoc-nor and the first temple of the il-Orah, Yurayurai, were built therein. Three marble pillars brought from the Place Before were erected in honour of the patron gods and their respective factions among the il-Orah.
