Whitblade Estate, Floor 2

Design

DRAWING ROOM The drawing room is large and spacious, with richly decorated walls and two large, ornate chaise lounges upholstered in a dashing green. They frame the fireplace, an ornate affair that has several useless but beautiful trinkets on the mantle, and a rocking chair set near it. In the corner, there is an upright piano, finished in white, and contrasted by a small brown stool. Like all the rest, the back of the room is filled by a large staircase with a narrow door set underneath its highest part. Shelves line the wall, full of games and boxes of riddles, all sorts of things to pass the time.    MARGA'S QUARTERS Marga's quarters are comfortable, if a bit simple, and feel lived in and loved like few other places in the manor. Everything is worn and used, especially the chair by the door and a framed and much touched picture of Seraphina.    SERVANT'S COMMON ROOM The servant's common room, inaccessible except for through the servant's stairs, is comfortable but a bit empty, as if i had been meant to house more, but had lost some important pieces that tied it all together. Two desks face each other towards the middle of the room, near to the fireplace, and the overstuffed armchairs and their side table look well used. The rug is worn and bare in several places, but clean and free of stains. Underneath the wooden staircase at the back of the room is a narrow wooden door, the same as all the others.    DARCY'S QUARTERS Darcy's quarters are long, thin, and more untidy than the rest of the house. His bed is unmade, his dresser top is a mess, and on his chair are piled clothes and blankets alike, with no regard for their mixing. DC 14 investigation check: the bed doesn't look slept in, even though it is unmade.
