Silver Peaks Prison
"Did you hear? They transferred Ricky up to Silver Peaks this morning. Guess he grew a lil' too violent lately." "Aw, shit, really? I guess we won't be seeing him again. That's usually a permanent thing that's hard to get out of." "Yeah. Well, let's hope they don't actually throw the super bad folk out to the mountains for the yetis."
Reserved for the most violent and lifelong prisoners, Silver Peaks is one of the highest security prisons in Phaiyon. It is secluded on an island in the far North. The building is surrounded by jagged mountains that lend the facility its name. Conditions here are frigid and snowy year round.
Structure
The building is large and rectangular with a flat roof. It is ten stories tall and constructed from black, magic infused bricks that are designed to withstand most conditions. A tall fence made from the same bricks surrounds the entire location. There is a watch tower embedded into the wall at each major cardinal location. Large spotlights are inside the main floor of each tower.
All floors except for the ground level are lined with inmate cells. Each room is made from reinforced magic resistant metal. There is one small door at the front of each cell that is locked and they only have a small window. There are a selection of rooms that are specialized to contain unique species or high level magic users.
Amenities
Silver Peaks is fairly bare bones compared to most jails. The ground floor contains a cafeteria, comunal showers, a gym, and several work stations that prisoners choose from as part of their punishment. Each cell has two bunk beds, a single desk, and a shared toilet. Only inmates who cooporate and do their daily tasks are allowed access to the rare book or deck of cards.
I really like the image/rumor of throwing inmates out to the yetis. I'm also interested in learning more about magic-infused bricks . . . some kind of barrier magic. It would work perfectly for prisons.

Thanks! I always enjoy sprinkling bits like that into things when possible / inspiration strikes, hehe. That will definitely be something to try and develop at some point in the future.
