Donation of Be Chuille
With the name of Donation of Be Chuille commonly scholars refer to an apocryphal script reporting the will of Sybil Drakensen.
Content
The document comprises ten rolls of parchment, stored in oak cases, allegedly reports the will of Sybil Drakensen after her death. The date reported, 23rd Thodhar 98, refers to a date precedent to Sybil's death but in her late age, as if she wanted to take care of her legacy in advance. The first part represents a letter sent to Holvert, who used to be a member of the Conclave in which Sybil express her concerns for the evolution of magic in the near future, the tone is warm and sisterly. The second part talks about the peregrinations Sybil and Guldrath undertook when she was younger, focusing a bit on the misterious figure of her mentor. The last part instructs about the authority of the conclave as control authority, solid, unique and eternal and lists a series of property and assets that Sybil wanted to donate to the different school of magic.
Origin
The real origins of this document are uncertain, it is although ascertained that the document is older than the date reported. It is not very clear, however, if this document refers to an older original. Some scholar theorize that, consider the type of language, scroll and some geographic reference, the document is at least two centuries older than as dated.
Use and reception
The document has shaped the conclave as we know it today and has granted it a clearer frame of powers. By this point of view the members of this institution, although probably conscious that the document wasn't original, have used it as a reference point. Beside the changes suggested in the configuration of the conclave, it has granted some extranational areas in which mages can seek sanctuary and are subject to the judgement of the conclave only.
