Humans are diffused in a variety of ethnic and national organizations nearly everywhere on the surface of Phaldorya and, occasionally, underground. The members of this species are bipodal mammals, able to walk while adopting a standing posture and they demonstrate a great ability to adapt to the external enviroment that becomes evident through a notable pleomorphism in the phenotype; therefore there are humans who are tall, short and of medium height, with skin dark and light, hairy or less hairy according to the different enviroment they have adapted to. The great adaptability is the success key of this species because even if they aren't as strong or intelligent as other species they have adapted faster. This feature associated to the speed of reproduction has granted an uncontested diffusion in the continent.

Anatomy
Besides the characteristics that are used to define, in general, mammals such as the ability to control their own body temperature, the fact to generate a formed offspring similar to adults and the ability to breath oxygen through air using lungs; the other morphologic features of the human species are ears with rounded tips, height variable, in the adults, between one meter and fifty centimeters and about two meters and the ability to walk standing up straight. Even though they show some hair, usually limited to some specific areas of the body, the are generally hairless. In general terms height and width are balanced, so that they never look too thin nor stout. The colour and texture of skin, hair and eyes can significantly vary between different ethnicities.

Life expectancy for humans on Phaldorya is about thirtyfive-forty years, as an average. Although, this variates greatly according to the economic and social conditions, therefore humans can occasionally hope to get over sixtyfive years of age. All the different social roles are open to individuals of both sexes, even though it varies a lot in different ethnicities.
Genetics and Reproduction
Human reproduction is sexuated and needs the mating between the two different sexes. The gestation lasts for nine months and young humans become capable to reproduce after puberty, a time of great physical and physiological changes during which individuals of both sexes develop secondary sexual features and complete the development of sexual organs.

A human being, on Phaldorya, grows regularly during the first twenty years of life or so. After the teenage, the body will change in limited ways during the whole adult age that lasts for about twenty years. At the end of adulthood human beings start to grow old, hair on their bodies tends to turn gray or white and the skin wrinkles. People that live longer than sixty-five years are greatly respected in most ethnicities, at least until they are in possess of their mental faculties. Each of this stages can be altered by the effect of magic.

As already mentioned the great ability to adapt the enviroment to their needs represents the key to success for human beings. So, where enviroment is not best suited to their survival, humans produce buildings, clothes and tools in order to aid their bodies tolerate it and to bend the enviromental conditions at their service.

Human beings are essentially omnivorous and they can adapt to eat most types of food. What they eat is greatly affected by their ethnicities and by the surrounding enviroment.
