Sonphanta
"What do you know about us?" Koijea fiddled with the hem of his shirt, his head ducked. "I know that you're immortal, and you serve the Stzozanel," Aalto replied slowly. "You have marks on your throats that say which Stzozan you serve. My parents told me some stories about the Sonphanta. I've heard lots of Theone, and your mom." "Is that all?" Koijea smiled bitterly. "No," Aalto frowned at him. "I know that the Sonphanta has stopped many wars, genocides, and horrible weapons from being developed. I know they've pushed for technological advances, and societal advances. Some people say without the Sonphanta we'd never have reached post-scarcity. You guys are fighting Dharr Corp..." "That's the good stuff," Koijea shook his head. "No one hears about the bad stuff. We're good at hiding it." "Are you okay?" Aalto asked, touching his shoulder. "You say we serve the Stzozanel?" Koijea hunched his shoulders, hissing, "We're their fucking toys."
Structure
Lead Sonphanta
Chosen unanimously by the head Sonphanta, the lead Sonphanta is in charge of organizing and keeping the peace within the Sonphanta. The current lead Sonphanta is Theone Elzaim, who is tethered to Malveria. Theone has been the lead Sonphanta since the beginning. He is also in charge of the Zwen Muroti, and all things Zwen related.
Head Sonphanta
These are the Sonphanta that are spoken to directly by their stzozan, and relay these commands to those Sonphanta who are tethered to the same stzozan.
Aerona || Tames Patillo is also in charge of the Alor Campus maintenance and organization.
Malveria || Aldion Vuer is also in charge of research and information.
Viha || Refaeli Kosa is also in charge of training and tactics.
Houmer || Valtos Fellinh is also in charge of finances.
Kitase || Volakis Recoleta is also in charge of handling criminals that come into Sonphanta custody.
Maddux || Mirelle Cassano is also in charge of resources and is often the one to deal with new Sonphanta.
Stasia || Andrada Kosa is also in charge of PR and outside relations.
Aguin || Percell Ewen-Kosa helps keep the peace.
Other Sonphanta
Each head Sonphanta has several people who work under them in their jobs and their stzozan group. These Sonphanta that work directly under/with the Head Sonphanta are often treated as a higher rank, though they are technically not. Newer Sonphanta are treated as lower rank, usually because of their lack of knowledge into the Sonphanta themselves.
Public Agenda
The Sonphanta have a complicated agenda, as it's dictated by The Stzozanel. Ultimately, their goals and motivation are driven by obeying their Stzozan, which is something that they have no choice in. Often this involves pushing technology or society in a direction that the Stzozan wish for. However, common goals include destruction of or preventing research in large-scale weapons, preventing research/use of non-renewable resources, stopping massive man-made deaths (world wars and genocides), or anything that may heavily effect the balance of the world.
Assets
Over the years, the Sonphanta have amassed a large wealth of currency, items, buildings, resources, and outside assistance in many forms. Most of this initially came from worshipers of their stzozan, who gave tithes in order to please them. Soon enough, the Sonphanta cut this practice off and retreated into their own space. Their largest asset is of course Alor Campus, which is an enormous campus located in Sylvaen, Kurth. This is the Sonphanta headquarters, and is where most if not all Sonphanta live.
History
The Sonphanta were created when the The Stzozanel initially tethered souls to the Life Pillar, making immortal beings that could push their souls far beyond the limit of a mortal person. The first group of head Sonphanta consisted of Tames Patillo, Theone Elzaim, Aldion Vuer, Refaeli Kosa, Valtos Fellinh, Volakis Recoleta, Mirelle Cassano, Andrada Seimpre, and Percell Ewen. All nine of them were summoned to the same place and were told that they were now to obey the Stzozanel. At the time, none of them were aware they were immortal.
Theone was initially separated from the group as Malveria took him to an unknown location. When he returned months later, he had an enidia; a special power given by a stzozan. From then on, Theone could use his enidia to forge weapons with souls that he could tear from others. These became known as Zwen.
The group began their own small place to live, as they were commanded to stay in contact with one another. As they began their first missions from the Stzozanel, people were aggressive when they initially explained themselves. Some called them heretics, liars, deceivers, while others began to worship them. This caused the Sonphanta to withdraw further from society. Soon, they were receiving tithes for the good they did, which became larger and larger as the world around them grew older and they did not.
Tames was the first to die while trying to evacuate a village during a ground fall. He was mourned, but before the other Sonphanta could even dig up his body, he reappeared 24 hours later at his shrine, dedicated to his stzozan, Aerona. The Stzozanel then explained that none of them could die forever; they were tethered to the Life Pillar, and would be for eternity.
Things moved fast after this; new Sonphanta joined them as technology began to surge forward. Aldion joined in on the innovation and invention process and ended up gaining a hefty sum of wealth that was put into moving them to a more pleasant area; Sylvaen. At the time, Sylvaen was a large village, just large enough for the Sonphanta to move in quietly and just small enough where they wouldn't have to worry about being overrun quickly. They bought up a large piece of land and this became the beginnings of Alor Campus.
Over the years this evolved further, until the Sonphanta were well known all over the world, and Alor Campus was a huge area that people took photos of at the gates. The number of Sonphanta had risen considerably, and several of the original Sonphanta had been bonded. Tauma Sahl, a Pyris mated to Andrada Seimpre and chose the family name Alhaeren. Soon after this, Tauma became uneasy about the tasks his stzozan, Malveria, was having him do. She became steadily more irritated, until, after the birth of his son, he refused to listen to another order. Malveria, embarrassed and infuriated by her Sonphanta's defiance, snapped his tether to the life pillar and ended him herself. Tauma became the first and only Sonphanta to die.
