Kuvonee Cow

The Kuvonee cow is an animal that bears a remarkable resemblance to the cows found on Earth. Save that they are nearly double the size. Although they tower over humans, the cows are typically docile creatures who need very little grass in comparison to their size. Kuvonee cows are primarily used for raising meat and dairy. However, because of their size, some human settlements have used them as pack mules or to help with the agriculture of their land.   The Kuvonee cow thrive best on the Continent of Ancora, to the east of the Mountains and the West of the Rainforest, on the Plains. Although it is possible for them to survive on other continents, they do not do well on ships, often sickening on the journey. Additionally, in the case of the continent of Terra, the land where Kuvonee cows would thrive best would be the Territory of the Land, whose inhabitants do not think to kindly of humans (And that is putting it mildly).   Beyond the size of the Kuvonee cow, humans enjoy breeding Kuvonee cows because of the sweetness of the milk, as compared to Earth-based cows, and the flavorful taste of their meat. Kuvonee cows are considered full grown after about ninety days and are able to produce more meat than Earth-based cows without the use of any hormones. Their meat and milk are often served when hosting high profile human guests.   Kuvonee cows are known for their long, bright red corse hair, which needs to be sheared every season. Sheared hair is used in weaving and the making of clothes. The red hide of the Kuvonee cows is also popular to use when creating coats and shoes. The bright red color, which has yet to be replicated by dyes, is an envy across many human regions. And is known as a highly valued item, particularly among the people of the Terra Continent, where Kuvonee cows are more rare.   The selling and subsequent raising of the Kuvonee cow can be a touchy subject for some Kuvonee people, as humans are not apt to follow the same traditions as the Kuvonee. Although most humans now employ free-range methods when raising cattle, they hold no The Blissful Beneficial Sacrifice for the cows, nor do they ask the cow if they are willing to give up their lives. Additionally, Kuvonee find it distasteful to drink the milk from other species.   For the sake of diplomatic relations, Kuvonee leaders choose to look the other way in regards to humans raising Kuvonee cows. And humans know not to offer any Kuvonee guests the cow or its milk during a meal. As it stands currently, it is considered highly frowned upon for a Kuvonee to sell their cows to humans. Nevertheless, many Kuvonee people (particularly of the The Do'ers sect) have no qualms about trading or selling the cows to humans.
