Gnomes

Gnomes tend to live in well-appointed caves all over the world. They are incredibly curious and hard working- they see no difference between the study and preservation of nature and tinkering with elaborate mechanisms and most gnomes dabble in both. Their studies often take them from the cave they were raised in out into the world, meaning that gnomes are quite common in the settlements of other races.
