Flamerule 20: Setup new Outost

General Summary

Taniel (Randy) Gilna (Sarah) Braze (Nick) Azura (Jerald) DM (Will) The party visited Alex Shortbow to setup an outpost in the swamp Taniel (Rolling a nat 20 Survival check) and Braze (rolling a 12 Nature Check) found a good location for the outpost, Azura (rolled a perception) to check for monsters in the area, Gilna (rolled a 15 History check) to identify what the glowing lights in the swamp were. As the party is looking for a good spot for the outpost, they are attacked by 3 lizardmen, during the fight the lizardfolk shaman shouted in draconic “we must kill them or master will kill us”, after the battle the shaman was taken captive, the shaman had a branding on his neck in the shape of a draconic eye wreathed in flame. During the Interrogation the shaman burst into flame at the mention of the symbol of Garyax Ran into an ANCIENT GOLD DRAGON that transformed into an elf and asked about New Gambit, Braze showed the map to it and the dragon threw a small bag of gold to Braze. The party then found the perfect spot and began construction of the outpost. Taniel contributed with the construction with woodworking and smithing, Braze laid the foundation (rolled 24), Gilna was on watch, Azura helped coordinating the labor. During the construction an elven woman approached Gilna offering muffins, she was able to bring Gilna near the water turning into a hag and attack her along with a crocodile with Gilna nearly evading disaster. The party handily defeated them taking almost NO damage and finding a potion, a lot of muffins (probably made of people) and a letter, written in sylvan from a coven of hags inviting the hag to their group on an island to the north and talking about how they can do things with flesh The party then finishes the construction of the outpost and are asked to go and find the location of the dead hag’s hut On the way to the hut a Red dragon was spotted flying overhead. Upon finding the hut of the hag they killed one of her pets and after triggering a trap that dropped Braze into the swamp then were attacked by 2 will-o-the-wisp also easily handled. In her hut there was a potion of healing and a potion of animal friendship, the hag’s alchemy supplies, the hag’s journal, and a living human (non-hag) infant In the journal she talks about the infant being from the village of Pacu Pacu, a giant crocodile in the swamp, wondering where the cultists of Garyax are coming from and talking about of Garyax 5 temples The party the returned to town for their just rewards
