  • We should find out more about this ancient civilization and locate its shrines before the demons use them to make a large pentagram. Who is this "him" Zariel might be sending?
  • When adventuring to Thedon on Kythorn 9, our guide Amel became a traitor and planted special metal orbs on Dimble to try and ruin the initial trade deal as well as trying to convince them to fight against New Gambit. He turned into a weretiger during his escape. He is allegedly from the village of Giles which is somewhere north of Thedon. Someone should scout out Giles to investigate more about the metal orbs, were-animals, and the possible threat of attack against us.
  • Scouts have spotted runes far to the west. Investigate, then and bring a report to captain 400 gp
  • Murder has been done in town investing the killings. 450gp
  • A group of kobold have been attacking camp workers to the north. Track and defeat this group. Reward 350 gold
  • After takling with Dioneria in the library and having her open a codex found by alex in the crystal tower, Dioneria found a message from the Leland about another shrine due west.

The drow was last seen headed to a old mine with enough meat to feed an army. The drow may have been controlled by some kind of monster or spell. Directions to the mine entrance: Keep on the western road 5 miles west of Shire of Dronwich . You will find a southwestern trail leading into the hills. Take that trail for 12 miles. The farther along the trail the rockier things get, and I don’t just mean the terrain. The old mine sits a couple miles east of the Stone Titans.

Good to Know

  • We met what looks like a human that goes by the name Joseph. He claims to be over 200 years old somehow. He really likes gold and jewels and shows little interest in anything else.
  • There is a garden west of town filled with various types of fruits, veggies, and plants with -from what we could tell- no one to tend to or even begin such a garden. Update: The random garden is being tended by a were-bear, she seemed pleasant.
  • A spreading sinkhole is destroying the road to the lumber forest, making nearby terrain precarious.
  • The ruin we investigated made a loud growl sound after it was collapsed.
  • Due west of New Gambit there was a large forest where Wood Elves gathered around a large stone which had Elvish Inscriptions, they seemed to be expanding the forest eastward but didn't seem hostile.
  • Dimble says "this hunk of junk was useless when we ran into demons. I made it to be able to fling high thermal energy and low thermal energy to make it versatile, but every demon there seemed to only take the cold as a minor inconvenience. Worst they seemed impervious to the heat! Well if they can shrug off fire and only be a little hurt by ice, I'm going to need to prepare something new for next time we meet those infernal bastards!" He finishes as he starts to cackle and attacks his projects with renewed energy."
  • The devil creature was spotted in another cave close to lumberjacks. A pentagram was seen along with a message that said: "The pentagram seems to be the most stable way to utilze the magic in the area. An ancient civilization is rumored to have shrines throughout the area. Maybe we can scale this up? Animals are giving limited power. I think the key is to harness souls to amplify the magic. This should make portals larger and last longer. We will keep looking for ancient shrines around the volcano. Zariel should send him in now to assist us as we search. The settlement is growing and could be a problem later."
  • There is some black knight guarding a bridge. You can just jump the 10 foot ravine and he wont bother you. The knight was pushed into the ravine
  • Garyx is a dragon god of rebirth and renewal. There are 5 temples on this island being used to seal him away. The temple near the Grung that was destroyed was one of those temples.
  • There is a portal that leads to a church that is being used by a cult to experiment on people and create undead. The cliffs are just outside Thedon .
  • The road heading west is being overgrown by trees and there is an elf who claims the land belongs to his family and gets angry if you talk about cutting trees.
  • Knolls were found to have the symbol of Asmodeus carved into their necks. Flind may be the name of the head of these Knolls. They call themselves Rabid Harbingers
  • Jubi an member of Order of the Gambit is know to be working with Devils of Avernus

Completed

  • There's a large metal door in the necromancer's cave at the dried up waterfall, it seemingly contains a powerful undead foe. The door can be reached by moving some rubble in the caves main room which will reveal a ladder to where the large door is.
  • Shire of Dronwich has been attacked by Gnolls and some residents were taken. Lia seeks aid 400G.
  • A note was intercepted from Ranin, the recently killed goblin leader. It reads: “Lagdog, you have no chance! We ----better weapons. ---- down or you- tribe shall perish.” A goblin underling, Lugdug, told us that Lagdog is a rival tribe not far from Ranin's camp. Lagdug told us the goblins are looking to unite against the invading foreigners.
  • The lumberjacks could use some help establishing their camp to prevent future attacks from wolves and others
  • Some lumberjacks went missing. The woods are just a dangerous area. Someone should find them and deal with why they went missing. Reward: 320g
  • After a long hike up a mountain to follow the missing lumberjacks Dimble, Gulch, Adpetor, and Wissum fought some cultists. We have some evil necklaces that turned them into horrible blob monsters after their deaths. Gulch will be holding a memorial for Wissum tomorrow at sunrise (RIP Wissum). We ran away after we heard the bloody screams of men in another room and saw blood rushing out of a door. Something deep and terrible has been summoned on that mountain by the cultists. I think we are going to need more help to go through the next door.

  • Céilidh-“I was testin’ out this combo psychometer/hygrometer gizmo I’ve been workin’ on in a clearin’ ‘bout 3 miles south of Thedon. 
It was shiny out, and then all the sudden a blast of cold came at me. It shattered half my work and flung the other! I ran fer cover close by, and seen a shadow. It was big fella. He had big curled horns and hooved feet. I wasn’t fixin’ for any broken bones so I high tailed it back here. I kinda wanna fix up this gadget here, but it was lookin’ like a nasty blizzard was takin’ hold when I left and I have a feelin’ it ain’t natural… If y’all can figure out what is causin’ the blizzard and stop it I’ll give ya 150 GP. I also talked to Dia and she says she wants to know what the shadow creature is. She’ll give y’all 150 GP for any info you bring her.”
