Cat People

Wood Elves or Half Elves or Tabaxi or Queens People (also a sub race or Cat People)or more commonly Cat People
The Cat people have a legend about an ancient elven City that was so avarous and greedy that the gods has decided to destroy the city. The Queen who was righteous and good prayed all night to save her people and when the morning came the gods had merged her people's souls and bodies with the souls and bodies of the cats living in the city thus "improving the people, but denigrating the cats." The elves of course say this story is hogwash.
