Festival of the sands of Life.

Gifts of handcrafted hourglasses are given, there are three sizes, baby, child and adult. The hourglasses would be filled with different colour sand for each year, once an hourglass has been filled then another is made. During this time the younger generation sit around and listen to stories from the elders about how times where like during their life. Traditionally it is just family that take part but the younger generation have taken it to giving friends as they are considered family to them.
Celebrated between 15th- 17th May.
