Nobility

Within the Empire Nobility is split between High Nobles and Low Nobility. A High noble is consdiered a member of a prince's house, any family who posses a charter can claim the title of High Nobility A low noble is the rest of nobility - the noblemen and women who work as courtiers in a High noble court, Noble officers in the employ of a house fleet, etc are examples of a low noble.
