Plane of Earth

In the not-so-distant future, a collision of planes changes what is possible in an instant. A massive crystal, that acts as a gate between our plane and the space between, appears in the middle of the Indian Ocean in the later months of 2023. An army from another world invades our world, coming out of the Crystal. The invaders are thwarted and dispatched by the joined forces of Humanity, but the invasion left the earth with questions and fears.   In the years that followed, A being from the world between, named Friet, called out to humanity and imparted wisdom about the Crystal and Ether. A city, deemed Terra Dvaar, was constructed surrounding the Crystal where extensive research and testing was done. Many discoveries were made about Ether and what became known as the Flume Crystal. Ether, channeled through fragments of the Flume Crystal called Flume Gems, contains the power to shape a world and its inhabitants in amazing ways. Importantly, it allowed a way for humans to transform their bodies to take on the form of heroes that grow stronger the more humanity believes in them, known as Avatars. The Flume Crystal is found to link our world to a location called Limbo where alien paths and structures lead to portals, called slip gates, into other neighboring planes.   The number of planes possible seems endless but thus far we have only discovered the presence of six. Humans, chosen for their unique connection to Ether, adorn the title of Avatar and are trained at “Waddiche Academy” to explore these worlds. They learn to master new abilities as their Avatars grow. They are also presented through televised events and skirmishes to the world, boosting the people's belief in Earth's heroes. Breaching 50 in number, the Avatars are formed into teams to investigate Limbo and defend Earth from further threats which they would soon have to test.   In 2041, our first invaders launched another assault on Earth, this time joined by forces from another World. They were successfully defeated by our militaries and with great assistance of Earths Avatars, but in the aftermath, it was found the invaders had kidnapped some of our Avatars and Scientists before fleeing into Limbo.   2 years have now passed and our Avatar numbers have been rebuilt. Teams have searched and research has been done to try and locate this other world to get our people back. Many eyes have fallen on the Avatar, Manon De’Salves, who seems to have developed an ability to gain some sort of clairvoyant guidance from the Ether or Earth. Each day our Avatars grow and train and each day more information is discovered on this new normal of Earth.
