Brightspark

These crystals are mined by the dwarves. They contain a small amount of power that can be used for a variety of things. The applications for the crystals are in theory endless, but are bound by the size of the crystals. The larger the crystals, the more power they deliver.

Utility

The crystals are used to power various things, but at first, lighting lamps was it's first application. What appears is that when two crystals are pressed together, an arc of power shoots over it. The amount of power it creates, is dependend on the size of the crystals. Maybe the greatest application of the crystals are the tunnelling machines the dwarves have recently created.

Manufacturing

The crystals are mined, and stored in Brightspark Mines. When mined, each crystal is carefully inspected to determine its characteristics, and if needed tuning. This happens through a carefully orchestrated routine of grinding, cutting and polishing.

Access & Availability

The brightspark crystals are found underneath the Frost Giants, a region in the south-eastern part of the Utrimar Kingdom. The mines are a dangerous place, sudden sparks from the crystals can fry a dwarf instantly.

Discovery

When Krichold of Clan Zuuzbek led his first expedition through the caves underneath the Frost Giants, he found the first crystals after 4 ardueous years of searching.
