Granted Divine Powers

Hallucinations

The Leadchurch Preachers get their power from the hallucinations as a side-effect of lead-poisoning. This allows the priests to form a connection to their God, Plobyus. The powers granted by their connection to Plobyus differ from person to person. But they are skilled with illusion spells and influencing other people. Their powers are questioned by quite a few people. Some of the preachers don't have a true connection to their god their minds too muddled from the lead-poisoning, they tend to lose their power.

Relinquishment of Precious metals

Servants of the Lord Plobyus are expected to relinquish all precious metals to make sure they only worship lead. Each house of worship has a special "Leadbox". This leadbox is used to collect precious metals (coinage). The Lord Plobyus may grant his servants special blesssings in turn for these donations.

Political Influence & Intrigue

With their powers to influence other people has made them quite powerful. The preachers themselves form a large network of information.
