Lightbug

A beetle, bred for the specific use of finding brightspark crystals. Known as a Glym Zudi in the native dwarven tongue.

A curious little creature. Their antennae seem to be able to detect the minute vibrations that the brightspark crystals produce.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The lightbugs are fed brightspark powder, which makes their abdomen light up when they are near brightspark crystals.

Growth Rate & Stages

The lifecycle of a Lightbug is similiar to that of ordinary beetles. During the larva stage, they are fed brightspark powder. Which, when they reach the adult stage, will give them the ability to 'light-up' when they are near brightspark crystals.

Ecology and Habitats

The Lightbugs predominantly live underground.
