The Ebony Maw has a supernaturally persuasive voice, allowing him to bend others to his will using only his words.
He is also equipped with a force field that can absorb powerful blows; but when it absorbs multiple impacts at the same time, it overloads and shorts out.

Encountered at the home of Dinah Alcott. By the time the party had arrived, the Protectorate (with the exception of Battery were all under his sway and helping him look for Dinah.
Agenda
The Ebony Maw appears to be part of the group attempting to kidnap the most powerful capes in each of the twelve categories. If Prophet's message is to be believed, the groups success would mean 60% of parahumans being wiped out in 1only 0 days. The leader of this group calls himself Infinity.
