The Vibrant Grave

In the northern central part of the Shengalvan Archipelago, just to the south of Vanorax territory, is an island where the realm of mortals and the realm of the fey bleed into one another. This is the Vibrant Grave, a place which gets its odd name from both its appearance and its history.
The "vibrant" portion comes from the riot of color that is fey realm vegatation. Even from a distance, one can see the island covered in colorful flowers, and even the slightest haze or mist seems to catch the light correctly to make dazzling rainbows.
The "grave" portion refers to a Vanorax fleet that attempted to take the island. The entire eastern shore of the island is a massive tangle of shipwrecks that are themselves being slowly overtaken by the flowering vines of the island. This tangle of shipwrecks has also been added to, and is home to substantial number of pirates in the archipelago, a venture which a lot of the less-powerful fey are keen to join.

Geography

Most of the island's land mass is dense fey forest, broken up by the homes of various fey nobility. However, the island is also something of a portal to the realm of the fey, and therefore, one can journey "inland" much further than the boundaries of the island would suggest.

Fauna & Flora

The fey-infused flora of the island often seems to have a will of its own, while simultaneously being an herbalist's delight. Medicinal plants abound, and the popular calmflower vines used in Xoan and elsewhere grow wild in the forest. There also grows here a number of plants that can be used for artist pigments, fiber, and absolutely lethal poisons.
But even beyond this "normal" assortment, one can find sapient plants of various types. Treats, shambling mound, and more exotic forms of ambulatory vegetation live here.
Animal life is similarly diverse, with various intelligent beasts such as blink dogs and magical beasts like griffons and owlbears making their home here. One of the most prized is a massive water-skimming insect that redcaps like to use as ocean-skimming "cavalry" mounts on the pirate ships.
