Plax

Plax is a world where ancient evils reign after the gods' abandonment, marked by the cataclysmic Twilight Howling that allowed an ancient evil to reemerge, the fragmented unnamed one: the unseen, the unheard and the unthinkable. This entity mutates nature and mortals, distorts reality, traps souls, and spreads existential dread during dangerous nights, instilling paranoia and mistrust. The Twilight Grip, a consequence of the god slayers' actions that drove the divinities away, isolates each town, making travel nearly impossible without aid. However, diverse races strive to reestablish civilization and foster trade. Desert-dwelling Orcs, known for their spiritual connection with the sun, graceful Deerfolk deeply bonded to nature, dragon-taming Half Giants, savage demon-possessed Barbarians, mysterious and wise Star Elves, technologically advanced Dwarves, and a reptilian and draconic alliance endeavor to restore civilization. Heroes, wielding the power bestowed upon them by the living gods, former god slayers, serve as beacons of hope.
