Baj Adhaqi

Home to many unique cultures and peoples. Outsiders view the lands in this region as uninhabitable and undesirable places, and avoid the region entitely. It's occupants are seen as uncivilized, uneducated, and barbaric by default. The rest of the world believes them to be severely behind and lacking sense, manners, and social etiquette. Geography

Steep rocky cliffs overlooking the sea. Harsh desert wasteland. Dry plains and prairies. Marshy wetlands. Algae-infested swamps. Red-dirt rock spires Rocky shelves and steppes Deep canyons of red and yellow. The easternmost and southeasternmost edges of the subcontinent meet the sea. Fresh water in excess from the greener regions.

Localized Phenomena

The region is prone to bad weather; frequent lightning storms, drought, flooding, and violent sea-brought storms. In the desert stretches, sandstorms are common occurences. The plains suffer from duststorms which greatly hinder the development and use of agriculture in the region. Areas closer to the continent's border recieve some of the worst weather conditions, getting hit with the brunt of the stormfronts and other harsh weather conditions. In parts of the territory that merge to quickly with the surrounding sea, quicksand can often be encountered. Though rare, some places receive hail.

Climate

The climate varies vastly throughout the region and its many biomes. And, in some places, the climate is extremely unpredictable. The locations within Baj Adhaqi blessed with more stable climates are among the most affected by seasonal change, though these changes tend to be quite predictable, whereas areas of unstable climate are thrown even further into chaos by the seasons' influences on their already volatile, erratic, and wild weather conditions.

Fauna & Flora

Large grazing animals. Water birds. Small rodents, mammals, and birds. Cayotes and wild dogs.

Tourism

Very, very few people ever even think about traveling close to or through Baj Adhaqi, much less stay for a visit, but those that do mostly do so to conduct research. Exiles, criminals, and other wanted rejects from neighboring countries may be sent or end up here. Sometimes a person will get it in their mind that they can travel to Baj Adhaqi and exploit the people and the natural resources of the lands. That never goes well, and often times the individual is never heard from again...
