The káoszmag explosion that resulted from the Chaos Wars swept away a great many divinities, leaving them broken, changed or dead. Only those who were either far away, strong enough, or a combination of both, survived. Of those relatively near, Alákor had always been one of the strongest. Back in those days he was purely a War divinity, but he was eager for more and closely watching the war, hoping to pick off one of the two Chaos divinities once they were vulnerable from their conflict.   When the catastrophe happened he was the only one able to throw up a ward strong enough to block the worst of it, but it cost him dearly. In a moment of desperation he had absorbed some of the energy to protect his people, leaving his mind slightly fractured. Even then, his proximity to the Nullpont meant that in time the residual káoszmag crept into the town anyway. He had protected his people, but they were both changed.
The human form is so frail, so weak. It is so easily broken in any number of ways. To survive, humanity must change. They must cast off their weakness and broken flesh to become something that doesn't just survive the ruined lands of the Topside, but rule them. - Alákor the Changed
Whereas before he was only a god of War representing the specific aspects of Competition and Strength, he has now become affiliated with the greater domain of Chaos as well, representing the aspect of Adaptation. This was a gradual change, one that fit well with his earlier philosophies but marked a specific change in direction. Alákor has realized that the human form is frail and weak. To surpass their limits humanity needs to embrace change, they need to seek out the káoszmag and transform themselves into something greater. Strength lies in embracing change. He has even allowed the Tórpek trolls to enter his city and live amongst the people, prizing them for their ability to survive powerful mutations. Perhaps they are the future.

Hallow

Alákor's hallow is located at the top of a flattened hill in central Jégoria. The hill is surrounded on the edges by sharp rocks that curl inwards, giving the impression of a giant maw or perhaps a giant tournament ring. The hallow itself is marked by a central, stone spire adorned by knotted ropes and other charms that people put up in reverence of the God of Strength.

Appearance

Alákor has always preferred a more human-like appearance when he reveals himself to his followers. He appears as a muscular, middle-aged man that always stands straight-backed. He exudes an aura of strength and implacability. He is always seen in his black hide armor said to be the remains of an ancient dragon. On his shoulder usually rests the greataxe nicknamed the 'Executioner of the Unworthy', a massive cleaving weapon made of rock and bone.

Followers

His followers are varied, but the most devout frequently have a martial bent. Strength can come in many forms, but in recent years Alákor has placed more emphasis on combat strength. Among his people are many mutants, some victims of the káoszmag, but also those who have willingly sought out the chaotic energies for a chance to improve themselves. There are even trolls, admired for their strength and aptitude for mutation. While they are often respected within military circles, their low intelligence means they are rarely found among the higher ranks of the priesthood and bureaucracy though.    Like their divinity they place great importance on self-improvement and adaptation. They constantly push themselves and each other to greater heights through constant competitions or duels, which can even turn quite deadly at times. The majority of these contests are not regularly planned or scheduled, but decided on in the moment. Warriors frequently challenge each other to contests, and rejecting a challenge is rare as it is considered a sign of weakness. Great warriors may end up being challenged every day, but this also brings them glory and admiration. Here, the strong stand on top.   His followers are considered mad by most other people of Jégoria, and quite dangerous as well. Due to the flesh vats they can mount consistent raiding forces of unstable mutants with little care for the losses they suffer.

Devotion

Those who devote themselves to a divinity are sometimes rewarded for it, especially when they perform extraordinary actions. Alákor favors those who are willing to take great risks to empower and improve themselves, whether that is by mutation or by constantly testing themselves against powerful foes. [To be expanded]
