Part 5: The Wrath of Guzzlord Report
General Summary
The party ran into trouble after their battle with Phineas. During the battle, Darkrai decides to make an appearance, scaring Jasper and one other member of the Sleep Snorlax society. Later. they spot a ravenous Guzzlord in the woods and its subsequent capture via Beast Ball. Rather than do the sensible thing and let the danger pass, the party (sans Leo) decide to investigate the woods and locate the person that has captured Guzzlord. They set out, with Phineas sending Maximus out to scout ahead due to its survival instincts. However, when they reach the clearing that Guzzlord made, neither Liepard nor Ultra Beast is anywhere to be seen.
Two mysterious trainers named Eddie and Edison meet the party in the woods, demanding the Professor's Pokémon as ransom. It is revealed that they have stolen Phineas's Liepard with the help of a Snag Machine. Maximus, now under the control of the mysterious trainers, attacks and knocks out Phineas. The two mystery beings attempt to toy with the party, but our heroes are having none of it. Frank and Avum are able to incapacitate Edison, who attempts to capture Avum himself. Now angered, Eddie uses his Houndoom to level the playing field. A battle erupts, and after an explosive first clash, Astral's partner Storm evolves into Jolteon. The moment is short-lived, however, as Storm then succumbs to retaliation by the Houndoom. Zoury, on the other hand, sneaks around to Edison and jumps him, beating the smaller man to within an inch of consciousness.
The Houndoom is put to sleep, and at the behest of a wounded Edison, is replaced by the Guzzlord from earlier, which has been captured by Eddie. The party themselves are in terrible shape: Zoury has been knocked out by Maximus, Astral has been knocked out as well, and the remaining combatants are backed up against the wall. However, some quick thinking and a rope trap thanks to Jasper allows an opening for the party to escape, running for the safety of the Sleepy Snorlax. Wounded and on his own last legs, Edison gathers up Eddie and the pair escape with the help of Celesteela - another Ultra Beast. It is presumed that they are retreating towards Allegro, though their exact location is now unknown.
