Gloomwrought

Gloomwrought is a major city in the Shadowfell, built on Ghost Bay, positioned between the Skins and the Sea of Souls. It serves as the home of the Order of the Raven Queen and is currently the seat of power for the Raven Queen herself, ruling over the dead from her Fortress of Memories.
The city was formerly ruled by a human nobleman named Prince Rolan the Deathless. He has since been ousted from his seat by the Raven Queen, when she decided to make Gloomwrought her new home. However, not all who live in Gloomwrought are loyal to the Raven Queen. There exists a faction known as the Death Revolutionary who seek to return Prince Rolan to power. A recent attempt to besiege the city involving the Death Revolutionary was thwarted by a group of adventurers from the Material Plane.
The souls of many dead spend their afterlife in this dark and gloomy place. Other residents of Gloomwrought include the less-than-pleasant shadows and the odd, ever-cursed breed of elves known as Shadar-kai.
