Pipe Shuck

Pipe Shucks are dower fey with grey skin. These creatures are roughly 5' tall and have slight wiry frames and narrow faces set between a pair of nonsymmetric ears one being long and pointed while the other is a normal human ear. The most noticeable feature of these generally drab creatures is that each one is missing one of their legs from the knee up. Despite missing this section the leg otherwise appears and functions normally. Each of these creatures has a unique and highly ornate bone pipe that gives the species their name. These pipes are made from the creatures own femur and are continuously lit with some form of ghostly flame. The exact nature of these creatures is unclear and it is generally assumed that due to their affinity for negative energy that they are undead, the truth of this claim remains unclear.   While rare these creatures are often sought out by those desperate for justice or revenge as if these creatures are provided with a bone from a deceased creature or a direct relative of the creature in question the pipe shuck can speak with a weak spiritual fragment of the requested creature. To do this the bone is first powdered and then places into the fey's pipe where it is smoked, to this end the bone must be large enough to produce enough powder to adequately fill the pipe.  The representation of the creature is formed of pipe smoke, emotionlessly interacting only with the pipe shuck. During this time the pipe shuck can ask the spirit up to 7 questions , depending on the size of the bone offered, that the spirit will answer concisely and truthfully to the best of its ability. Once all the questions have been answered and the bone consumed the pipe shuck will inhale the spirit which is then barred from being questioned in this way ever again. Upon consumption of the spirit smoke pipe shucks often display more vibrancy and emotion than they did before seemingly savoring the experience before presumably to return to their usual dour demeanor.   If a creature donates one of it's own bones more than once to the same pipe shuck for different relatives that pipe shuck begins to become more and more familiar with the donor learning more about their personalities and habits despite not being informed of them. This quirk of the creature has lead to rumors of romantic trysts between the strange fey and people who have lost an unfortunate number of direct family members.
