Right of Calpa
In dark elf society, one of the rights to becoming an adult, is the right of Calpa, or known by outsiders as the right of vermintide. Though it can vary by region on the exact specifications, the right includes taking a child, ready to face their adulthood, and locking them away in specially designed pits or caves, called Calpas Den. These caves will usually have some sort of vermin, a spider, scorpion, or other large type of insect creature that could surely kill the child. Most do not survive the process, and are considered weak, unable to push forth the agenda of the The Serenater. Those that partake the ceremony are usually unwilling. But in order to survive they must follow the following commandments.
- No harm shall come to the creatures of Calpa.
- You shall hide in neither darkness or light.
- You shall touch the creature of Calpa without retaliation before your leave.
- You must meditate on the wisdom and strength of The Serenater
- You must spend three days alone with the creature, without it killing you.
- Seven drops of blood must be spilled upon the ground before your exit.

Common Myths and Legends
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Elves: Since before the consumption, Dark elves have been hated and feared by other elf races, with a notable exception of indifference from aquatic elves. It is believed that dark elves have been the cause of Elf Mortality in ancient texts, and many assassinations on public figures have been attributed to the species as a whole. Because of this, Dark Elf hatred has become widespread, however, some are finding that those who worship against the The Serenater, and find comfort and faith in Linucem, are cautiously welcomed in some societies.
