Dust Sea
Deep within the Mioiarann Mountains near the city of Geburtszwerg lies a vast sea that slowly makes its way through the caverns of Grott. This sea is not made of water. Instead, it is the collected rock and metal dust of hundreds of years of mining, the dripping of water onto the piles of dust from above, and numerous biological fluids from various sources. The combination of all of these has lead to a strange mixture that coats several feet of the floor in a foul smelling concoction.
When walking or running over the surface, it feels like walking or running over wet sand, but when standing still, it functions as a liquid, and one will sink right through. Because of this unique property, traversing over the Dust Sea requires special masks that prevent the extremely foul, potentially hazardous odor from making travelers sick. Mountain Dwarves native to Geburtszwerg seem to be immune to the effect thanks to their extended proximity to the sea.
