Immortalium

The indestructible metal alloy. Immortalium is an obsenely expensive, ultimately rare resource that is only creatable by the greatest of alchemists. Even one who has something akin to a philosiphers stone would have difficulty in creating Immortalium, and find that lesser metals serve the purpose within ones lifetime anyway.

Physical & Chemical Properties

For all intents and purposes, an item made of Immortalium is indestructibel. the object is immune to any and all types of energy, and can only be melted down and reformed through direct exposure to sunlight, starlight, moonlight, acid, and compressive force at the same time. It permanently retains its sharpness if made into a weapon, and cannot be bent by normal means.

Compounds

Because of its alchemical, and rare nature, the true ingredients are a closely guarded secret, but it is known that a small amount of mythral mixed with extremely high quality steel are two of the main components, with alchemical reagents providing the rest. One theoryy is that lead is applied to the mixture as well, but there is no proof to this myth.
