Orc

Ladisus is no orc. He is nothing but a pure demon that used us to find his way into the mortal realms, and for that, we owe him our grattitude. But as a demon, we hope he stays away. If it were not for his curse, and pure ugliness, we wouldn't worship him. He gave us a chance at life when there was only a chance of destruction.
The thing is, knowing this, we have to understand our core relationship with Ladisus to understand us. We are not wanted here. We were not wanted in the nine hells, instead just servants to further a cause under a corrupt god who wished us even less favor. We were not made by the gods of this realm, so they look away from our kind. We made our gods, and we will survive if they want us here or not.
— Tugog Shaman of Ladisus.

Orc Culture

Because of the orc way of survival inherent on each member of their species, Orcs will always follow the culture of the region that they are in. They are not brutish, warmongering creatures at their core, but are always a product of their envrionment. However, if those within their culture treat an orc that they are dangerous monsters, they will nearly always become one.

Additional Information

Facial characteristics

Orcs can have pointed or rounded ears and any combination or length, as well as other normal facial features of most humanoids.

Civilization and Culture

History

Since time immemorial, every orc has known their history within The Abyssal Realms to be filled with the sounds of cracking whips. In the abyssal realms, long before written history, orcs tell of brutal demon overlords with their overwhelming forces of darkness. Orcs were used as both food and for hard labor throughout the different realms of the hells.
It was the demon Ladisus who gathered the orcs together while they were his slaves, and made a deal with the divine to allow those under his protection outside of the abyssal realms. To a place where they can live free of servitutde. The gods agreed with his request, and Ladisus snuck into their ranks by disguising himself as an orc. When all of the orcs passed through, Ladisus revleed in the destruction he could cause and started slaughtering masses of people.
Once Tutella locked away the demonic hoards into The Abyssal Realms, it was the combined effort of Vivere and Olänn that brought him to heel, and Venichis cursed him to forever only be able to heal, instead of destroy.
After Ladisus was removed from being a threat, the Centarial crowning was formed, and though the The Pondarac Pantheon was said to have all but humans within their ranks, the orcs were not even thought off for the occasion. Stuck in the frozen north of the world, they started to spread out, trying to get a foothold wherever they could to survive in a hostile environment.
The orcs spread themselves as far south from the hostile cold as they could, making small tribes and families while the gods left them abandoned. They focused instead of outwards worship, inwards perfection, and found themselves capable of amazing feats of survival. Wherever they went, they thrived.
Afraid of these powerful creatures, the other mortal races would capture those that came from the demonic realms, and if not kill them, use them in indentured servitude, which brought them to all corners of the world.
