Session 5a: The Plan, Ragia's Mini Adventure Report

General Summary

Ragia awakens to find that her companion from the night before has vanished, leaving behind 10 silver coins where he slept. Ragia, smiling at the thought, pocketed the coins and cleans themslef up with towels and a bucket of water provided by The Bittern Inn, before getting dressed and grabbing a bite to eat.
The hostess brings the kobold a plate of food when they sit down. "Its on the house, your friends left without you to go find a way out of Kurado." she says. "Oh, well okay then, any tips on what a lone kobold can do to pass time in this town?" she says setting out a silver on the table.
"Depends on what you are looking to do. Even next door has a vibrant night life... a little too vibrant, and too much night if you ask me." The hostess grumbles. "Speaking of, why are you two neighbors? Seems counterproductive to put the two inns right next to each other." I opened first, and they arn't an inn. Its a night club that doubles as a brothel during the day." She sighs exasperated. "Its been going on for years, and I can't stand it. But there is nothing I can do. She has every legal right to be there. But... If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have been able to make the strongest, and most effective sleeping potion in the city, maybe even throughout Kurado." The hostess shrugs. "So, it's not all bad." "i guess," says the kobold taking a bite of her breakfast. "Though may I ask, how are you so tired looking with said potion ?" The hostess smirks. "I became immune." "That sounds no fun." "Its not. This is normally my time to sleep but, you asked me what there is to do. What do you want to do?" "I guess some adventuring work would be the simplest." Ragia thinks for a moment. "Is there a quest board in town?" The hostess nods. "In a way, you would have to go to the magistrate, and sign up as an adventurer, at which point they will give you work if there is any." "Ah, good to know, well i won't keep you away from your sleep any longer, well have a good sleep." The hostess nods to the kobold, standing up and leaving them to finish their meal. Ragia leaves the coin on the table before finishing her breakfast and making her way to the magistrate. The magistrate is a small building by some standards in the make shift town, but looks to be inhabited completely by kurado natives based on their attire. At the front desk, along with several other workers, is a high elf with white hair, using a quill to create documents. He looks to Ragia as they approach his desk. "What do you need?" he asks. "Hi, i've been told this is the place to register as an adventurer?" "Are you here for yourself or your party?" "For my party" says Ragia, "Even if they did leave me to take care of this alone." He nods, taking a few pieces of paper out of his desk from some drawer. "There are three recognized adventuring parties in the city, your party will be the fourth. What is their name?" "Uuh... the Wrecked?" The elf nods. "That's acceptable. Names?" "Nahema Dai'Gishkin, Ayame Shiori, Ragia Raflesia, and Eleanor Primrose." The elf nods, jotting down each of their names on assorted documents. "Giving you this document understands that you are allowed to leave the city, but should you interfere with the cultural development of Kurado, you may be put to death by local authorities. Is this understood?" he says, holding up the documents while looking to the kobold. "Understood, what does 'interfering with the cultural development of kurado' cover?" "Teaching of cultures outside of Kuraudosukurēpā, with the direct result of changing the culture and not letting it progress naturally. Punishment is left to the discretion of the local armed forces." "Got it" says Ragia as she takes the papers from the elf. "Good luck, and good fortune to you. Is there anything else I can help you with?" "Any quest available at the moment my party could partake in?" The elf shakes his head. "Not at the moment. There was a job for a goblin child lost in the sewers, but the Watchers took over that one. Nothing official anyway... There was one woman in here earlier asking for help finding her friend outside of the city, but she couldn't offer compensation." "Oh well, at least now we have the paperwork set up in case something comes up." says Ragia, before the elf nods, and returns to his writing.
