Svern Shio

The gods of dragons, the Svern Shio are those who are said by their believers to reside above all. Dragons have exsited for time immemorial, and no singular deity has claimed their creation for his own. As such, Dragons as a species have developed their own beliefs, and who they worship.

Structure

Destadova rules over the Svern Shio as the first dragon.
From there, the three major dragons, PrůhlednáPolloxand Chromnis rule over the majority of dragons, and are the primary source of Destadovas teachings.

Cosmological Views

Unlike other religions in Pondera, the Svern origins focus on before the creation of Pondera, as the dragons are considered pre ancient, and simply came to the world to find a respite from their own. Because of the consumption, this ancient place they came from is unknown.
Dragons believe they came from a world completely overrun by some supernatural force that they had no way to quash. Though many dragons speculate upon what exactly they ran from, the prime consensus is either The Farlands were approaching, and they fled the hostile living environment, or there was an overflow of that lands The Abyssal Realm. Either way, it became inhospitible for dragons, and they fled to pondera, where they helped to gain control over the world, and make a home for themself. From there, the cosmology differs based on a dragons personal interpretation. The dragons are seen as having the potential for divinity in The Arborole and The Pondarac Pantheon. Both religions state that they were granted divinity, but to different deities, and dragons themselves follow their own beleifs on how they are to be dragons.
Animism does not count dragons as deities according to their standards. Instead, they are counted as living protectors that help determine the spirit based on their actions and personality. This can be cause for annoyance for some dragons, though others consider this ideology to be an honor.

Tenets of Faith

Be True To Yourself, for it is the self that demands the world, and the world demands only the truth of you.

Though most of the divines within the Svern Shio have their own beliefs on what a dragon should be, and what they can achieve, all of them follow the one simple overarching tenat of being true to themself, but interpret this in different ways. This causes much infighting between believers, and is the main cause of warfare between Rynasen and Anguish as a result.

Priesthood

All dragons are considered the priesthood of Svern Shio, even if they do not believe in it. This is interesting for followers outside of dragons, or for non-dragon worshipers, as they would reach out to a dragon in their local to discuss the philosophy of that dragon. It is because of the differences in opinions between different dragons that the different deities have their own perspective.
