Expedition
Lord Faulkin Silverdust makes a payment to the party in order to gain a special fruit from the nearby forest, said to have "mystical healing properties."
Milla, Rea Dai'Gishkins love interest comes into the fat mermaid, having been the scholor that Blaze dropped the book off with. She informs the party that the book is called the Tome of Evil's Conscription. Any promise that you make is written down in the book. Breaking that promise, until it is fulfilled... has you completely and utterly destroyed... in this case, your skin, bones, blood, flesh... everything, is turned into a pile of maggots, other then your soul... which is sent directly to that demon. After informing them of this item, She left them to their own devices. A child enters the fat mermaid and hands Kaelyn a letter. "For the Lady of Dragons, Kaelyn Ar'Khalis, and company." "I am in need of the services of a group of adventurers to obtain a medicinal item from the woods. If you are interested, please come to my home, and greet me in person." "Gracefully, Lord Faulkin Silverdust" They arrive at Faulkin Silverdusts home just an hour or so after noon, a grand marble manorhouse with paladins of the order of the stone guarding it. The paladin collects their weapons and brings them inside, where the find the manor itself is outrageously larger on the inside. They meet with Lord Faulkin, an exorbatantly wealthy man who was unable to move from his waist down, rode a horse to maneuver around, and was so dramatically wealthy, he only ate using a single utensil for every bite, before it was tossed away. He gave the party a mission to go deep into the forest to find a specific fruit from a specific tree that was said to have healing properties. He needed the fruit before the next sundown specifically. The party accepted his quest, and immediately set out to find the magical fruit. After traveling into the forest for a bit, they are sneak attacked by a shambling mound, who very quickly becomes overwhelmed by the party, and attempts to flee. During which Blaze attempts to chase after it deep into the woods. The party collect what treasure they can find from the creature before chasing after Blaze into the woods. After nearly an hour, they come upon the bird sleeping in the branches of a tree. In an attempt to wake up the bird, the paladin kicks the tre, to which the tree fights back, and Violet steps between the party and the tree. They find that its actually a Dryad protecting the forest. The dryad scolds the party, angry that they came into the forest against the wishes of the druids, and tells them to wait for the druids to come. The druid in question is Verna, Pixie Guardian of the forest, who apparently has ADHD. She speaks to the party and informs them that she wont give a fruit to lord silverdust because of a mining operation that he had supported without consulting the druids, which she claims lead to the deaths of two of her druid companions. After some negotiations, the party manage to convince the druid of grabbing a fruit from the forest for them, and learn that the name of the Dryad is "Hallune" The next morning the druid returns carrying the special fruit, and directs the party back to town, thanking them for helping her, with the promise that they will get more druids into her rapidly vanishing circle. The party attempts to negotiate with lord silverdust in assisting the druids, to which he replies that he will either help the druids, or provide the party with their payment. To which, the party decided they wanted to get paid and bring the fruit to the lord. The lord that day appears to be holding a Masquerade ball in his home, with jobulant music and quite the high society shennanigans. The party hands him the fruit, to which it is immediately cut open to reveal that it was in fact an avocado. He hands them their payment, and shoos them away. The fruit itself was not magical, he just wanted Guaqamole for his party.
