House of Wonders Discovery

Expedition

The discovery of the trechery of Faulkin Silverdust, and gaining the House of Wonders from the deceased hammerborn family.

The party see a job notice from Lord Silverdust, the one who gave them the mission to find an avocado in the forest, and they find him, homeles, sitting outside of his home, begging for just about any scraps he could get. He informs the party that he has one last hope for a home but was woefully unable to get into his home due to the protections outside of it. He asks the party to help him out, and he will reimburse them in any way he can once he has a place to live. The party accept his request, and go off to locate and eradicate the threats around his home. Upon arriving, they find that it is protected via a fence, with a gatehouse that was protected by two very strange golems. They dispatched the golems with only minor wounds to themselves, and proceeded to the home in question. A grand mansion of immense size that more closely resembled a church or stronghold than it did a home. The party start searching the mansion before Violet sits upon a throne in the main cathedral of the home, and is attacked by golems made from stained glass. The paryt fight hard, but are also able to fight off the stained glass golems with a few nicks after a hard fight. After defeating the golems, a ghost appears before them, a dwarf by the name of Hammerborn. He had died three years previous because of the silverborns taking every last scrap of money that he had earned, forcing him and his family to starve from pride instead of looking towards a life of crime. He makes Rea take an oath that a silverblood may never take posession of his home, and after she swears, he gives Kaelyn the deed for the manor. He also leads them to evidence of Lord Silverbloods transgressions, to put him in jail forever. The party bring the evidence to Lady Gray to ensure that the lord pays for his crimes. Upon which they find arrows that were very similar to the ones that hit Rea back when the party was fighting for the town against a fire elemental, which she told them was a story for another time. Looking for additional work, the party decide to split up to hear rumors throughout the town. Rea hears about a star falling towards the west, with Kaelyn hearing rumors of a war between tribes of orcs in the north. Violet however, manages to find a drunk Kobald, Rafliss passed out in an alleyway snoozing. Since the Kobald looked to be an adventurer, they invited him to join their merry band in exploring the rumors of the fallen star. They follow the path of the fallen star, and find a crater, and the "star" as a large chunk of Adamantine, perfectly round and the size of a crater. After knocking on it a few times, a strange whirring machine made of adamantium bursts forth from the hollow sphere, and observes the party for a moment before attacking them. Violet takes a pretty hard hit, but the party does manage to take it down before it says "For the empire," letting out mechanical whirrs and beeps. Understanding that something very very bad is about to happen, the party runs away from it, just out of reach as it explodes in a glorious fire ball that nearly lights up the sky. They gather what little survived from the explosion and go off to warn lady Gray about it all.
