Effect

Lethargy allows the Arlslip to slow its prey.
The Arlslip is a low-flying and slow insect that lives in the mountains of Murriet. They live off of animal blood, but being slow are frequently unable to catch their prey.
These insects move in swarms, and as part of a swarm a single Arlslip is often able to bite their prey. The Arlslip doesn't have any venom or physical way to incapacitate their prey. However, the Arlslip and its prey both believes that a single bite will cause the prey to slow significantly, giving more of the swarm an opportunity to feast on their prey.

Chemistry and Biology are both relevant sciences related to the Lethargy spell. Increased knowledge of these sciences helps protect against the effect of Lethargy.
