The King's Guard

King Lonell Emswort created the King's Guard shortly after ascending to the throne, and hired Captain Harpe to lead the group. Rather than being an elite group, it devolved into a group of thugs that kept the populace in line through fear more than anything.
The Guard was formed with 100 guardsmen, consisting of 33 squads of three and the captain. Each of the squads has a leader responsible for getting their orders and keeping the group on track, with orders coming from the captain through the leader to the squad. These guardsmen are responsible for patrolling the town and surrounding area, and keeping the peace. Over time, more guardsmen were added, creating a formiddable fighting force in an otherwise peaceful world.
