Lancelot
Sir Galaven Charles Du Lac
One of the main members of the Knights of the Round Table in the Kingdom of Camelot, he had ownership over the Lake Seat and Dolorous Gard, a castle formerly under the possession of King Brandon of the Isles.
He is the half-nymph son of King Ban of Bennick and Nimue, The Lady of the Lake.
Physical Description
Special abilities
As a half nymph, Lancelot can instinctively sense where water flows and its source. Though he's unable to generate his own water sources, his skin is water resistant.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
King Ban of Bennick had an affair with Nimue, resulting in his birth. King Ban didn't want to bring up Galaven because he was afraid his wife would know of his adulterous relationships with Nimue and other women. As a result, the nymphs of Lac Nuvanne raised him as their own.
When he was still a child, his half cousins Bors and Lionel are left orphaned after the deaths of Bors the Elder and his wife, Evanne, in a local skirmish. Nimue and the nymphs took them into their care, raising them alongside Lancelot where he learned more about the outside world and desired to become a knight.
Upon reaching adulthood, he makes his way to Camelot with his cousins to become a Knight of the Round Table. To protect his identity, he simply goes by "The White Knight" and challenges King Arthur to a duel.
The King agrees to his request, admiring his strength and chivalry, only if he helps rescue Sir Gawain from enemy captivity. Having accomplished this, Galaven learns of his full heritage and takes up the name "Lancelot", after his paternal grandfather.

Accomplishments & Achievements
Lancelot was known as both pure-hearted and a competent warrior within the Knights of the Round Table. Before he became a full-fledged knight, he saved Sir Gawain from being captured by a foreign kingdom. He also managed to defeat Arthur in a duel before he made his identity known.
Lancelot's deeds centre around assisting Arthur in the unification of Camelot after many years of civil war, as well as hunting down beasts and other threats to the kingdom and its prosperity. He went undercover to assist in the war between Galehaut and Arthur as The Black Knight.
He also managed to defeat Sir Dinadan in a jousting tournament and ever since has had the reputation of being both a powerful and chivalrous knight.
Failures & Embarrassments
Despite his personal virtues, he couldn't qualify for ownership over The Holy Grail and its many secrets. Instead, he had to leave the quest for the Grail to Sir Perceval and Galahad, his son.
Personality Characteristics
Virtues & Personality perks
He's able to see the good in most people, offering chances when he would be better off leaving people in the dust. Though his rocky relationship with Morgan le Fay is infamous, he'd rather maintain the integrity of the Round Table and stay in Arthur's good graces than make an objection. This trait has gotten him into a great deal of trouble, hot water and juicy gossip.
His struggles to remain chaste earn him a great deal of both praise and empathy. Though many attempts - especially by courtly women and foreign monarchs - have left him spoilt for choice, Lancelot has consistently rejected these advances.
Vices & Personality flaws
Vices
Though some reports attest to his ferocity when properly provoked, these reports tend to conflate him with his lord, Arthur Pendragon. Either that, or he merely shows the appropriate loyalty to the crown. Others more perceptive would attest to his struggles against sloth and lustfulness. It clearly takes a lot of effort to conceal any emotion, but these most of all. Like Gawain, his former friend, he lands in difficult situations and even more contentious rumours because of these vices. He'll brew in the trouble because his captors make it comfortable for him - literally or otherwise.Flaws
Lancelot is forgetful, mostly when it comes to directions. Given the opportunity, he'll get lost and end up helping someone in the process with a miscellaneous quest. Contributing to this habit, he's easily distracted, unable to pass up someone's cry for help even if he's on a more pressing errand. Even when not travelling the countryside alone, his mind wanders when excitement of battle is far behind him. This attitude has made him into an avid daydreamer, fantasising about various topics instead of paying attention during less than suspenseful afternoons.Hygiene
Has immaculate hygiene, even if he hasn't had much opportunity to take care of himself. He puts in effort to find water sources and the latest cleansing lotions. His main concerns are to keep his skin moisturised and his hair clear of dandruff, lice and grease.
This is thought to be partly because of his nymph heritage, able to find water and remain "saintly" even in the most adverse of circumstances. Contemporary sources note an uncanny, if not clean, sheen to his skin that appears naturally and makes it appear to sparkle in sunlight like clear water. This effect is enhanced with added moisture, such as sweat, so that he appears pleasant even without bathing for a while.
Social
Contacts & Relations
He helped Sir Gareth survive through his gruelling work as a kitchen boy, way before he knew the boy's heritage or future importance. Lancelot would regularly give him clothes, money and food, as well as a shoulder to cry on. They have been friends ever since.
Family Ties
Lancelot has a half brother through King Ban, Hector de Maris. His cousins, Bors and Lionel, are the sons of Bors the Elder and Evanne.
