NeuroStasis
NeuroStasis is a digitally-powered state of altered perception, where the user connects to a computer through an internal NeuroScope cybernetic implant, which in turn overrides the user's sensory systems as well as immobilizing the user's physical body in most cases. NeuroStasis is functionally and effectively very distinct from visual, auditory, and sensory augmentations, which are achieved through cybernetic eyes, cyberaudio, and neuromuscular cybernetics respectively. Two common umbrella categories of NeuroStasis are generally recognized in addition a number of other more rare uses.
LENS
Light Experience NeuroStasis, abbreviated as LENS, comprises home use and entertainment-oriented NeuroStasis accessible wirelessly on widely available home electronics, such as computers, agents, phones, or other such devices. The massive LENS industry encompasses many other subcategories, such as Interactive-LENS, Cinematic-LENS, and Dream-LENS.DLNS
Dense Link NeuroStasis, abbreviated as DLNS, comprises powerful medicinal, military, industrial, or otherwise demanding NeuroStasis requiring a physical link to function. Although capable of producing far more advanced experiences, these often require powerful computers not commercially avaliable. Not widespread within the entertainment industry due to concerns of mispractice.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
